The Arch E paper size measures 36 inches wide by 48 inches tall, giving it an extra large surface area of 1,728 square inches. As the fifth and currently largest size in the ANSI architectural series, Arch E provides huge drawing space for sizable building projects. Its 4:3 aspect ratio makes it identical in shape to Arch A and Arch C scaled up. The generous 36x48 size accommodates very expansive architectural plans, multi-building site layouts, and exterior elevations requiring both width and generous vertical space. Arch E is also well-suited for large master plans, wall-sized orthographic projections, and multi-page architectural spreads combined on one sheet. It can print two Arch D sheets at full size. The ultra large area allows tremendous detail and scale, but Arch E drawings become difficult to transport and reproduce. It fills a niche for monumental projects needing precision technical drawings far beyond conventional sizes.
