ANSI E

34 x 44 inch
/
863.6 x 1117.6 mm

The ANSI E paper size measures 34 inches wide by 44 inches tall, giving it an extra large surface area of 1,496 square inches. As the fifth and currently largest size in the ANSI system, ANSI E is suited for special applications needing huge printing areas. Its 17:22 aspect ratio matches ANSI A and ANSI C, allowing drawings and documents designed for those smaller sizes to scale up proportionally. The long grain is oriented along the 44 inch height. Uses for ANSI E include poster printing, oversized technical drawings, and architectural plans. It can accommodate multiple Letter size pages at full scale for visual side-by-side comparison. ANSI E also sees use in industrial design for full scale mock-ups and prototypes. Most printers cannot accommodate ANSI E sheets, so print jobs this large require specialized equipment. It fills a niche for projects needing precision printing substantially larger than Ledger size while maintaining the ANSI aspect ratios.
