ISO/IEC 7810 is an international standard that defines physical characteristics for identification cards, including four standard card sizes: ID-1, ID-2, ID-3, and ID-000. The most common size is ID-1, measuring 85.60 x 53.98 mm, which is widely used for payment cards, driver's licenses, and identity cards. ID-2 measures 105 x 74 mm and is used for some identity cards and visas. ID-3, measuring 125 x 88 mm, is commonly used for passport booklets. The smallest size, ID-000, measures 25 x 15 mm and is used for mini-SIM cards in mobile phones. All sizes have a thickness between 0.68-0.84 mm. The standard precisely defines both metric and imperial dimensions for interoperability, as well as other physical characteristics like bending stiffness, resistance to chemicals, and durability.
Title | Metric Dimensions (mm) | Imperial Dimensions (inch) |

ID-2 | 105 x 74 | 4.1 x 2.9 |
ID-3 | 125 x 88 | 4.9 x 3.5 |
ID-000 | 25 x 15 | 1 x 0.6 |
