The compact F6 paper size comes in at 105mm x 165mm, resulting in a fairly miniscule total surface area of 0.0173 square meters. Serving as a transitional grade between PA5 and the smaller F5 size, F6 offers a squat middle ground in height between ISO A6 and the wider F5 format. With its compact width and area, F6 allows some marginal horizontal space savings over F5 for regional contexts. However, its stunted dimensions severely constrain practical use cases overall. As such, F6 has no common alternative names or acronyms associated with its forgettable size. What occasional applications leveraging F6’s space do exist relate to special printing/packaging needs catering to its almost-square footage and easy regional sourcing. Beyond that, F6 was conceived by the supplementary F series solely as another bridges between sizes - in this case the incremental descent between F5 and PA6. So the origins of stubby F6 stem only from serving a basic bridging purpose rather than any standout traits. Thus, while falling in line with the aims of the F sizes, F6 delivers largely redundant area whose compromises limit noteworthy utility besides further gradations.
