Oficio is the standard Colombian equivalent for the North American Legal size. The two paper formats share the same width, with Oficio extending slightly longer vertically.

The origins of Oficio can be traced to its aptness for legal documents. Its compact yet spacious parameters conveniently fit lawyer correspondence, contracts, wills, and other official paperwork. The Legal-sized lineage enabled easy document exchange and conformity between North and South American legal and justice systems.
