The P3 paper size has dimensions of 280mm x 430mm, which converts to 11 inches x 16.9 inches. This gives the P3 size a total surface area of 0.12 square meters. The P3 paper size was defined under the Canadian CAN 2-9.60M paper standard as the third largest of the P series of sizes. The P3 size has also occasionally been referred to as PA3. With its moderate size, the P3 dimension works well for uses that require more area than standard letter or legal sizes, but not as much as the larger P1 and P2 sizes. Common applications include medium brochures and pamphlets, standard visual presentations, smaller posters and charts, graphic design comps and layouts, as well as some architectural plans and engineering drawings. The added space of P3 allows flexibility while still being compact enough for common printing and documenting needs across various fields and purposes.
